They don't have to wear socks!?

Tonight I introduced my boys to my favorite summer TV show--So You Think You Can Dance. Oh the joy and wonder and giggles. If I wasn't nursing Abby I would have grabbed the camera to capture their attempts at mimicking the dancers. So darn cute and funny, especially with Spencer's choice of PJ's: No shirt, but 2 pair of bottoms. Of course the shorts OVER the long bottoms. I asked Spence what he thought of it all and he said, "mom, they REALLY don't have to wear socks? WOW. They can do it in bare-feet? Cool!" He would notice something like that--Spencer LOVES socks and is very particular about what kind he will wear. He flips-out if one gets lost in his bed during the night. It's actually hard for me that he isn't more like Cam in the footwear department (Cam loves clogs and flips--just like his momma.) Spencer is all about full foot coverage. And when we are in a hurry out the door it takes much more time for him to decide which pair of shoes he wants and to make sure his socks are pulled up enough, as I am pleading with him to just put on his flips---not a chance. I have to remind myself--"pick your battles Kami--especially with Spencer"
