Lovin' These!!

I got home today from 2 marvelous days away with my best friend Jayne. It was our annual Park City Sanity Weekend. LOTS of shopping, eating, talking, relaxing. We just love to get away and nothing bothers us---including missing the available time to use our $20 zip-line/coaster tickets (that we already paid for--oops). Pumping at Ann Taylor was memorable as well---I'm pretty sure I freaked the young sales girl when I asked her if it was ok that I use my breast pump in their dressing room.
I love getting away every once in a while-especially with Jayne, but there is nothing better than coming home to these 4 people.

Such a good daddy---and hubby!

Abby did great for Daddy, but she was SO happy to see her mommy. She was in the best mood tonight--we had so much fun together. It's also amazing to see how much she bonded with her daddy over the last 2 days. Abby has been a little too attached to me, so it's nice that she had some time to learn that daddy is a cool guy.

Just had to include a picture of our "angry elf".

The little water-dogs. We love summer!!!

Cameron is a fantastic swimmer and now that he is over 48" he can go on the jagged edge and shotgun falls at 7-peaks.

Spencer is so brave at 7 peaks as well. He will go on everything he can for his height. Such a big boy.
LOVE MY LITTLE FAMILY!!!!

Bear Lake 2010

I really love our annual Bear Lake trip. Shell found the ultimate cabin this year!! It had a ginormous kitchen/eating area, huge open room in the basement, theater room, access to everything at Ideal Beach (2 minutes away). We told her to book it again for next year.
We stopped in Evanston on the way to Bear Lake and found Grandma Kate Homer's grave. Abby Kate was named after her. It was really cool to see. I actually got a bit emotional.
The first day we went to Ideal Beach. The water was high, so the beach wasn't so ideal--haha. I was glad Chad went on the boat this day because Abby struggled quite a bit, and if momma can't make her happy, nobody can.
What a dolly-babe. Nat bought her swimsuit, it was the hit of the day.
No, we are NOT nursing. Just trying to keep Abby and Caleb covered so they will stay asleep.

So handsome.

The kids loved chasing the seagulls. So funny. Cam was SURE he was going to catch one.

Like we didn't get enough water---off to the pool.

Perfectly timed shot.

Abby was our "bipolar baby" She was either really happy, or really mad. I called her my "angry elf". And believe me, she got angry. I got a picture of happy Abby, but never got an angry elf picture.
Ice cream after swimming.

They all wanted turns holding Abby.

Grammy's great craft idea---the kids painted picture frames, then collected sea shells and sand. The next day they glued the shells and sand to the frames. Richele got a great picture of the kiddos that will go in the frames.
The second day we drove 20 minutes to North Beach. That's the beach we really love. I was able to go on the boat--actually pretty much all of us went. Grammy, Grampy, Samantha, Chad and Abby were the only ones who stayed at the beach. I didn't have my camera for the boat, but Kris got some great open-mouth shots.

Chilling out!!

A Very Average and Proportionate Child

Kater-bug had her 4 month check-up today. She is 24 1/2 inches and weighs 14 lbs 4 oz and head is 41 cm. All 3 measurements put her right on the 50% line--average and proportionate.

Abby at 4 months:
Just discovered her thumb--as shown in picture above
Loves to stand--Dr. was amazed...she wanted to stand during her entire check-up
MOMMA'S GIRL--big time (sorry Grandpa)
Still sleeping well at night
Not great at napping during the day--three 30 min naps most days. She wakes up happy, so I don't stress too much over it (and if you know me it's amazing that I'm not stressing)
Almost rolling over
"talks" constantly and is starting to squeal

Bed Time

This is one of the few scenarios that happen when we put the boys to bed: Cameron on the ground, sorting through books to read with Spencer zonked.

This is Abby right after nursing and burping and being wrapped-up for bed. She sticks her lower lip out and sometimes up and over her non-existent upper lip. Non-existent lip thanks to her mommy, who thanks her Grandma Loveridge--not sure where the "chicken lip" gene goes from there. Let's just hope Abby didn't inherit the "Bennett thighs". Genetics ROCKS.

Tissue Bats

These kiddos of mine crack me up!!! Notice the Kleenex Spencer has put in the crossbars of the bunkbed. I asked him why he put them there and he said they are "tissue bats". Fitting since he refers to his bed as "the cave". The day after I took this picture Spence hung 15-20 more "bats". Cameron cleaned them before I was able to get another picture.
