First Waterfight of the Season

It is 9:30 pm and I am exhausted. We just barely put the boys to bed (way late for the Hall household). But at least I'm not freezing anymore.

For some reason in the hot summer months when I am out at night watering all of my flowers the boys decide that they want to run under the hose trying not to get wet. Well that is just too tempting for this momma--I get a sick satisfaction out of soaking my boys to tears. And believe me there are always tears.

We are starting out this year just the same--warm night, watering flowers, running under the hose, 4 soaking Halls, Spencer in tears. It was awesome!!!

Although a few twists this year around--When Chad came around the north corner of the house with the hose from the backyard---I was screaming, laughing, wet from neck to toe (I threatened him with his life not to get the hair wet.) And then I peed my pants--lovely huh?. Between the cold water, laughing, and insufficient bladder control thanks to Cam and Pence I just tinked. Luckily the shorts were already dripping with water, but I realized that it wasn't as warm outside as I thought.

The three boys continued their water fight in the backyard while I got in a warm tub. When I got out I found all 3 boys squished (really squished) in the hall bathtub. It was hilarious---If it wouldn't have been inappropriate there would be a cute picture of my 3 men like sardines in a tub.

  2. I love hearing about your tinkling stories. I can just imagine your sinical laugh as the kids are crying. Way to stick up for them Chad. Wish we were in the same neighborhood. We had our own water party last night too. Only it involved the tramp and balls!

  3. I can already tell I'll be tinkling my pants without any control pretty soon. I don't think those Kegels are going to be good enough. It's in the genes...between you and Mom, my fate is doomed! :) In terms of the three boys in the bathtub...that is awesome. Hopefully all those boy cooties will be Cloroxed out before Nicole takes a bath in there again. Of course, those cooties aren't as bad as Spencer peeing all over her head and face like last time. Oh, I'm so scared to have a boy! :)

  4. That is so awesome! I love so many things about that story! It reminds me of my childhood water fights, I love that you peed your pants, and the family bath afterward...classic :)

  5. I am laughing! Seriously laughing. You kill me. You are awesome. It is so fun to see you at the T-ball games. Thanks for not laughing at my attempts at pitching or coaching for that matter.
