First Waterfight of the Season
For some reason in the hot summer months when I am out at night watering all of my flowers the boys decide that they want to run under the hose trying not to get wet. Well that is just too tempting for this momma--I get a sick satisfaction out of soaking my boys to tears. And believe me there are always tears.
We are starting out this year just the same--warm night, watering flowers, running under the hose, 4 soaking Halls, Spencer in tears. It was awesome!!!
Although a few twists this year around--When Chad came around the north corner of the house with the hose from the backyard---I was screaming, laughing, wet from neck to toe (I threatened him with his life not to get the hair wet.) And then I peed my pants--lovely huh?. Between the cold water, laughing, and insufficient bladder control thanks to Cam and Pence I just tinked. Luckily the shorts were already dripping with water, but I realized that it wasn't as warm outside as I thought.
The three boys continued their water fight in the backyard while I got in a warm tub. When I got out I found all 3 boys squished (really squished) in the hall bathtub. It was hilarious---If it wouldn't have been inappropriate there would be a cute picture of my 3 men like sardines in a tub.

Moab 2009: Fins N' Things, Rain, Hide and Seek
Chad lives up to his promises.
We arrived on Thursday afternoon and immediately went to the pool. We stayed a little too long---the boys got hungry and ornery. Mom and Dad just laughed, saying they remembered trips with us girls being exactly the same, "we are paying HOW much to do this?" They both ate a great dinner and were much happier.
Grammy and Cameron at The Branding Iron. The weather could not have been better (I love eating outside)and the food was good. Can you believe it Kris and Shell--Mom is actually POSING for a picture, instead of trying to hide from it?
Back in "the day" (as in before we all got married and started reproducing) we use to go Jeeping every Mother's Day weekend with the whole Loveridge Clan. Such fun memories--miss you all!!! The night we would all arrive in town we would meet up at Fat City Smokehouse (which has since closed-sad,sad). We would always sit outside and most everybody would order the ribs. It was just as important to our trips as Elephant Hill was. Our family has been lost since Fat City closed and nothing else in town does it for us. Well, we tried the ribs at the Branding Iron and it was a close second. The outdoor seating was great and the food was good too. If they won't bring Fat City back, the Branding Iron will do.
We always rent our Jeeps from Farabee's, but Chad and I haven't jeeped since the kiddos have come down from heaven to ruin our fun. We figured that since they are 3 and 5 it was time to try. Chad went to pick up the Jeep and Maria(who has been at Farabee's since time began) actually remembered Chad, "hey that's a familiar face, but aren't you usually with the Loveridges?" Chad thought that was great. I guess Woody's family was just there the week or so before us. We Loveridge's do love to Jeep (except Krispi---and Pat, but Pat isn't a Loveridge and Krispi would rather the exercise of walking--that's her story and she's stickin' to it).
Another side note--as Pat discovered, it actually is safer in the Jeep. She broke her arm tripping on a rock because the Jeeping on Elephant Hill scared her. At least Scotty knows exactly which rock she tripped on (fun memories).
The boys loved having a TV in their bedroom. They would get their chocolate milk and watch TV so we could stay in bed a bit longer. I told them they only allow that isn condos, not at home.
Thanks for coming with us Grammy and Grampy!!! You always make things so much fun. And the girls actually won at Pinochle (that alone makes the trip a success!!)
