December 2012

Grammy and Grampy come over during Christmas time to have dinner and make gingerbread houses.  This year we tried the Rice Krispy treat train.  I think that will be our new thang.  Kids loved it and they can eat it right after and I don't have to fight with them because when we do the gingerbread houses they never want to throw them away...(hmm, wonder who they got that from?)

Such concentration

I love her smile...she usually does the squinty one.

Sorry Grammy, that's actually the better of the 3.

Watching A Christmas Story and decorating the tree.

We spent the Sunday before Christmas with Jayne and her kiddos and Miss Jessie was so excited that she and Abby had the same PJ's.

Go Fish is a favorite with the girlies.(Christmas Eve)

Painting Pinewood Derby cars.  Notice the witch costume Abby is wearing.  I love it. Kind of sad that Spencer has grown out of that stage.  He was always my Ninja/Batman.

Grammy and Grampy buy a new Knex every year and Alex is usually the one to help assemble it. Everybody enjoys watching it go around.

Playing the Great Dalmuti (Christmas Eve)

Poor Spencer got a bloody nose and spent much of the afternoon on the bathroom floor playing with Daddy's phone.

Pinewood Derby....we are definitely few in numbers, but they are such good boys.

Oh, Caleb LOVED to show off his new Captain America PJ's. (Christmas Day)

Abby and Mantha Moo with her princess figurines. (Christmas Day)

Daddy helping Abby with her "Fapunzle" doll.  Poor little Abby was just starting to get sick on Christmas so she was easily overwhelmed and didn't play with much of anything. Kind of a bummer.(Christmas Morning)

Daddy showing Cam how to play Risk. (Christmas Day)

Abby loved watching the roller coaster go around and around.

Connect 4 with Grampy.  Grampy is wearing a headband that Samantha made for Abby.

Waiting for their turn on Santa's lap at the Hall Family Christmas Party.

It's Abby's turn.  She had been talking to Amanda all night about sitting on Santa's lap and what she was going to say, but Amanda lifted her up, she walked 2 steps and changed her mind.

So mommy got to sit on Santa's lap.

Spencer telling Santa he wanted a Nintendo 3DS

Cameron tellling Santa he wants an Ipod touch

Abby with her Strawberry "corkcake" doll.

Playing Christmas songs on Christmas eve.

Luckily Amanda had plenty of loves for Abby on Christmas eve...cause I was all about lil Ev.

Grandma gave loves too.

Love how Abby is watching the dear sweet baby Jesus.

And this has been our week....boys glued to their electronic devices. By evening I am DONE and I make them put them away and we play an actual board game...ya know the ones that cause actual human interaction.  I tell ya, back in my day all we had was board games.

Sledding the day after Christmas...now that I look at this picture I really see that Abby was not feeling well...she slept for 2 hours in the car after sledding.

Helping Spencer on his new snowboard.

New Little Man

So sorry Miss Abby.  You have been de-throned!  Nat and Brett's lil Ev was born the 4th of December and he is a love!!  Unfortunately somebody has been sick in my house since then, so I haven't been able to spend as much time as I'd like with him.

Handsome, even in the hospital

awww....Chad only "thinks" he wants another one.

Abby wanted to keep her right arm free....just in case he decided to attack.

He peed on Spencer...so funny

right as I took this picture Cam said, "wow, that's warm,"

We did have a fun sleepover a couple of nights after coming home from the hospital.  My mom did that for me and it was SO needed.  He looks asleep in this picture, but no, no, no he was wide awake from 12:30 to about 3:00.

He lasted in his carseat for about 20 minutes, the rest of the night he spent on my chest.  And I spent the rest of the night watching movies and kissing his head.  Oh, how I loved that. I wanted to do another sleepover during the Christmas break but Abby has had the crud since Christmas.

Yah, she's still not sure.  She talks about Everett playing toys with her and then is confused when she sees this sleeping "limp doll"...actually cracks me up.

What a face....he's a looker!

Love this one of the new little family.
Now remember lil Ev....Kami is your favorite aunt, Kami is your favorite aunt.  She has the best treat cupboard EVER!!

That's my Girl

Love my Abby Kat!!
But, of course, you must wield a saw and wear an elf hat whilst riding your horse.

I guess she thought she was "helping" clean the window.

Usually the stack of cups/bowls is higher with much more water....EVERYWHERE!

Exercising with mommy.  Chad thought it was the cutest thing ever.

This was all Abby. She instructed Chad to lay down in front of the fridge then put towels on their faces....crazy girl.

Nobody Wants to Watch Cartoons Alone

We stored a bunch of stuffed animals in a tupperware under Abby's bed and she was THRILLED to stumble on them the other day.   Seriously, it was like Christmas.  She lined them all up and they all watched Bug's Life together....so sweet.

Thanksgiving 2012

We had a Loveridge Thanksgiving this year.  The food was yummy, kids were awesome (disappearing to the basement most of the day), conversation hilarious!! So it was a fantastic day all around.

Save the Trees!!

We got slammed with snow on Friday night.  One of the trees that we had to fight the city to keep (chad tore up and removed sidewalk and dug down 6 inches to probe the roots weren't lifting the sidewalk) got a big boo-boo.  Tear tear, sniffle sniffle.

This was going to be our first lazy Saturday in MONTHS--we have more projects than time, but we were thrilled that we had nothing planned for this day.  Chad spent 8 hours in the freezing cold with his chainsaw and our fallen hero.  Good thing we have that "white trash" trailer parked on our street so he could take the branches to the dump (the trailer is our newest feud).

The kids loved the first snowfall.

Tree brances were down all over the city, but ours was one of the biggest I saw...sniffle sniffle.

Abby woke up at 3am so Chad opened the blinds to show her that it was still night time---this is what he saw.  He was smart enough not to tell me until morning.  "Do you want to hear the bad news?"...is not how I like starting my day.

Cameron's 9th Birthday

My "first baby" is 9 years old.  Kills me!  This has been a great year for Cam--especially since school has started.  He is much more positive and can really think and process things before speaking or acting.   He is so funny and has a very quick wit.   He understands sarcasm a little too well and we really have to watch how we talk "in code"--cause the boys just gets everything.   He is an amazing student and really enjoys school and his friends.  Piano is his bug-a-boo right now--everything in this boy's life has been easy, except piano.  It's very good for him to be stretched with taking piano lessons, but Chad and I have learned that we really do have lots of patience---since he's still alive and hasn't been beat to death.   It's amazing that he will finally learn and memorize a song and just go play on his own...so there's hope.    He adores his baby sister and when he's not teasing Spencer they are amazing little buddies.
We adore you Cam-Bam and are so glad you are in our family!

Grandma makes egg-free cakes (Hall pics still on Grandma's camera), but when the Loveridge's play we throw a few candles in an ice cream sandwich (yah, I rock!)

So excited for his lava lamp--and it has brought minutes of entertainment since.

Wee bit crowded in the Hall house.

And no birthday is complete without a rousing game of Hungry-Hungry-Hippos.
