Save the Trees!!

We got slammed with snow on Friday night.  One of the trees that we had to fight the city to keep (chad tore up and removed sidewalk and dug down 6 inches to probe the roots weren't lifting the sidewalk) got a big boo-boo.  Tear tear, sniffle sniffle.

This was going to be our first lazy Saturday in MONTHS--we have more projects than time, but we were thrilled that we had nothing planned for this day.  Chad spent 8 hours in the freezing cold with his chainsaw and our fallen hero.  Good thing we have that "white trash" trailer parked on our street so he could take the branches to the dump (the trailer is our newest feud).

The kids loved the first snowfall.

Tree brances were down all over the city, but ours was one of the biggest I saw...sniffle sniffle.

Abby woke up at 3am so Chad opened the blinds to show her that it was still night time---this is what he saw.  He was smart enough not to tell me until morning.  "Do you want to hear the bad news?"...is not how I like starting my day.

Cameron's 9th Birthday

My "first baby" is 9 years old.  Kills me!  This has been a great year for Cam--especially since school has started.  He is much more positive and can really think and process things before speaking or acting.   He is so funny and has a very quick wit.   He understands sarcasm a little too well and we really have to watch how we talk "in code"--cause the boys just gets everything.   He is an amazing student and really enjoys school and his friends.  Piano is his bug-a-boo right now--everything in this boy's life has been easy, except piano.  It's very good for him to be stretched with taking piano lessons, but Chad and I have learned that we really do have lots of patience---since he's still alive and hasn't been beat to death.   It's amazing that he will finally learn and memorize a song and just go play on his own...so there's hope.    He adores his baby sister and when he's not teasing Spencer they are amazing little buddies.
We adore you Cam-Bam and are so glad you are in our family!

Grandma makes egg-free cakes (Hall pics still on Grandma's camera), but when the Loveridge's play we throw a few candles in an ice cream sandwich (yah, I rock!)

So excited for his lava lamp--and it has brought minutes of entertainment since.

Wee bit crowded in the Hall house.

And no birthday is complete without a rousing game of Hungry-Hungry-Hippos.

5 Month "Regurg"

I REALLY don't like downloading pictures and I like uploading pictures even less, so I will probably continue to blog a few times a year.  Just enough to aleviate the guilt of not documenting my family's lives.  But I am up to 500 hundred pins on Pinterest---a girl must have her priorities.  Since my last Moab post we had a great summer, and fall is going well too.   We spent lots of time at Seven Peaks, played with friends, cousin camp, Ranger rides, soccer games, "enjoyed" the construction on our road.
Abby and Ayla had some girl time during "cousin camp".
The boys enjoyed every minute with their cousins.  Mommy got a nice break during the week.  I was able to clean carpets and organize cupboards.   Lovely!
 Payson Pool was so fun.
The kiddos went to Lowes Xtreme while I was at work.  I heard it was as awesome as always.
Tie-Dye T-shirts are a favorite activity.  Rebekah had a bee buzz by right as the picture was taken...haha.
 Bowling---Carpet day for mommy.
Lori prepared a great Pioneer Day with activities, crafts and stories.  Lori is awesome like that.

One of the activities fell through, so we swam at a neighbor's pool.
Ranger rides all around!!   Thanks to Grandma for her hard work each year at "cousin camp".  My boys look forward to it all year long.
School open house....kids are growing up.
Hoola hooping with Jayne!!!  Love doing Sunday dinners with her fam!
Abby just loves finding random toys at Kristi's house.  And Kristi loves sending them home with us.  Cause we don't have enough toys around here....ha ha.
Abby bonding with Jeremy...Bad picture.  They were really cute together.
We went to Wicked!!  Absolutely wonderful show~~  Loved the time with Chad and my fam.
First day of school.  Big 3rd and 1st graders.
Cutting brick for the patio/firepit~ Chad was GLAD to have that project done.
Next year the benches will be built.   Heaven forbid Chad not have a project to work on.
We went camping at Jolley's ranch and the boys loved sliding down the dam.
 Soccer babies
 Brothers in the camper

 Morning was a bit chilly
Weekend in Vegas for Peter Gabriel concert.   So much fun!!
We love Cornbelly's!!  A bit pricey, but for 6 hours of entertainment, well worth the money!
I get claustrophic just looking at this picture.
Abby loved all the wood play things.
 Fourth of July at Kristi's.

Caleb was not in the mood for pictures.
 Abby in the rainstorm.
 Ranger ride to Fairview
 Ranger ride to Squaw Peak
We endured 8 weeks of construction on the road in front of our house.  We made the best of it though.  With little to no traffic, the kids rode bikes and made jumps.
 Abby loved the freedom too.
 yummy tomatoes!
 Soccer baby.
I spent 45 minutes at Wal-Greens getting pictures made and Abby read her book and ate her snacks the ENTIRE time.  Oh that little girl is a joy!

Yah, Soccer season is over.  It was really fun, but Chad coached both boy's teams, so 4 nights a week were spent at the fields.
And how did none of my kids get blue eyes??????
 Spencer at Cornbelly's
 Cam loved the zip-line.

So sad that we were only able to go boating once with Shell and Greg.  They are so much fun and the kids love the water.

See you in a few months....haha
