Cornbelly's

Chad's work wanted to include the kids with the Team Building things we do every so often, so Cornbelly's was a great choice!! We've never gone, because it's a bit pricey, but totally worth the $. We will be going back for sure.

Got a bit chilly by the end of the night, but we fit in one more maze. We stayed until almost 9:30---way late for my kids.

Best "carnie" attraction EVER!! Speleo Cave. Google it. Coolest thing. I am very claustrophobic, so I enjoyed watching, but I had to get a picture of everybody that was in the "cave" at the same time. I was proud of Cam and Spencer for trying it.

The big bouncing pillows were fun and it was really warm when we first got there.
Spencer LOVES all kinds of weaponry---so the corn gun was heaven for him.

We spent a lot of time at the "panning for gold". They each got to sift through sand to find fossils and gems. They got a card to identify the gems and spent hours the next day sorting them.

Halloween Fun

October was great this year. Warm temps, so the kiddos could play outside. Parties and pumpkins, oh so much fun. While Grandma was visiting my beautiful new niece in Texas we had everybody else over for chili and pumpkin carving.

This was the first year both boys dug out their own pumpkin guts.

Grandpa used a Dremel to carve his. It scared Abby, so Scotty took advantage and enjoyed the snuggles.

Matching smiles.

Concentration.

Chad didn't want to do paper/rock/scissors on Halloween so Nat helped him get bloodied. And I kept on my devil horns that I wore to help with Spencer's class party. I don't think a class of Kindergartners would have understood "paper".

Cam designed and made his robot costume. Spencer loved his ninja swords and knives. And we have paper/rock/scissors. Paper wins!!

Decorating cupcakes--fun and yummy.

Big Girl Bed

We endured 18 months of Abby waking up several times a night, sometimes for hours at a time. I mean I could count on one hand how many times that little girl slept through the night. We tried everything that every book has written on the subject to no avail. She always went to bed like a champ, just couldn't stay asleep and definitely couldn't soothe herself back to sleep. Finally one night Chad camped out on her floor so he could immediately look in her crib to see what was waking this little girl up. He noticed she was all over her crib and was scrunched when she would cry out. So after his night of a 2 hour nap he told me we were taking her crib down and putting the double bed in her room, that day. And I'll tell you, he was right. (I haven't said that too many times in our marriage--hehe). Abby was a little unsure of her ginormous bed for 2 nights, but it's been over a month and she goes to bed at 8 and wakes up at 7....every night. No crying, and she wakes up happy happy happy. I am typing with one hand, and knocking on wood with the other.

Her comforter is the same one that Mom and Nana made for my first big-girl bed. How cool is that? And it has already been washed 5-6 times. Little love got sick the week after.

There are many mornings and afternoons that Abby will be asleep much longer than normal, so I will check on her and she is sitting against the pillows, Elmo in one hand blankie going up the nose in the other. Her bright eyes showing that she has been awake for a while.

I think she loves her bed.

Gotta Get Organized

Chad is working on Pinewood Derby cars, so I figured I would blog a bit. I opened Sept/Oct 2011 picture folder and found a bunch of pictures from August and even July
(but not all of July). Someday I am really going to regret not being very organized with my pictures. Oh well.

A Kimono dress Krispi bought for Abby...got more than a few complements on this outfit at church.

Abby is normally very possessive of her
chair space in the mornings, but was feeling particularly nice on this morning. Spencer tries almost daily to sit by her only to be rebuffed with a, "NO!!"

Just want to eat her up. I love the back of her little head.
Chad's new toy. Good times ahead with this vehicle.

"what up?" She LOVES being in the front seat--oh so much to see.

BIG BONK!

First day of Kindergarten. Spencer was so excited and he was so glad that he got the same teacher Cameron had. Abby threw a little fit when we left...she felt right at home at that table.

Looks like a turtle.

Big Second Grader

Yah, Abby thought she looked better in big brother's chair.

Riding the frog at the Living Planet Aquarium. I wish Abby was looking up. I think Cam and Spencer's smiles are adorable. Normally they have awkward or goofy smiles.

Now Abby's smile is adorable. Hey Shell-bell, how about some photoshop magic.

Loves mommy's hats.

At the Spanish Fork water park thingy...Abby's "surprised" look.

Oh how I do miss summer!!!!

Sleepy eyes on a Saturday morning.

Grampy and Andy taking a snooze at Bear Lake.

Grammy was a genius to bring the big balloons to Bear Lake!!

Love them to pieces!!

Sittin' in the garage at 6am watching the boys pour concrete.

Helping daddy build some drawers. Abby got a hold of the real hammer and almost did some damage----gotta watch that girl.

Cameron's Baptism

Today was truly one of the most amazing days of my life. My first baby was baptized!! I remember sitting in the hospital after Cam was born thinking of milestones in his future. This day was a big one and it far exceeded my expectations.

Grandma and Grammy gave FABULOUS talks. Cameron cried when Grandma talked about Grandpa James and when Grammy expressed her love for him. Cameron has always been a very sensitive boy, and I know he felt the spirit this morning. It has been a very emotional day for Chad and me. I am so grateful for my little man and so proud of him. And even more grateful for a loving Heavenly Father and Savior who gave us a way to return to them.

I look at his sweet face and just pray he will make the right choices in life. Oh, please Cameron, stay true and stay strong.

Abby loves her "bag", she likes to take it everywhere. That is an Elmo leg sticking up. Another love of Abby's.

So grateful for the Priesthood in my life.

Grammy bought Cameron his suit. But if you think Spencer was going to allow that you're crazy. So Grammy bought Spencer a pocket with a suit attached. (Spencer's only requirement for his suit was that it had an inside pocket--like Daddy's. And let me tell you, he loves that pocket.)

Caleb and Abby chillin' at lunch.

So excited to get his scriptures.
