Cameron's Baptism

Today was truly one of the most amazing days of my life. My first baby was baptized!! I remember sitting in the hospital after Cam was born thinking of milestones in his future. This day was a big one and it far exceeded my expectations.

Grandma and Grammy gave FABULOUS talks. Cameron cried when Grandma talked about Grandpa James and when Grammy expressed her love for him. Cameron has always been a very sensitive boy, and I know he felt the spirit this morning. It has been a very emotional day for Chad and me. I am so grateful for my little man and so proud of him. And even more grateful for a loving Heavenly Father and Savior who gave us a way to return to them.

I look at his sweet face and just pray he will make the right choices in life. Oh, please Cameron, stay true and stay strong.

Abby loves her "bag", she likes to take it everywhere. That is an Elmo leg sticking up. Another love of Abby's.

So grateful for the Priesthood in my life.

Grammy bought Cameron his suit. But if you think Spencer was going to allow that you're crazy. So Grammy bought Spencer a pocket with a suit attached. (Spencer's only requirement for his suit was that it had an inside pocket--like Daddy's. And let me tell you, he loves that pocket.)

Caleb and Abby chillin' at lunch.

So excited to get his scriptures.

Such a Big Girl!! 18 month Abby

Our little monkey has no idea that she is still a baby....she is every bit as old as her brothers, and wants to do everything they do. We are absolutely crazy about her. Unfortunately mommy is the only one that can tell her NO. They boys, daddy and Grammy haven't learned the oh so important word quite yet. So if she turns out to be a spoiled stinker, it's not mommy's fault.

Fun Facts about Abby Kate:

My "average" 50/50 girl is lengthening out. At her checkup she was in the 90th percentile for height and the 30th for weight 33 1/2 in 23lb 12 oz

Has recently become obsessed with Elmo. Both brothers went through this stage, but they were much younger. She goes around the house trying to sing "Elmo's world". And says "Elmo's friend" and then points at her belly.

She speaks REALLY well and is starting to put 2-3 word sentences together, "where daddy work?" "wow, pretty lights"

She LOVES to put things up her nose: gum, dinner, hair elastics, lego pieces, edges of her blankie.

Loves to be read to, and makes up her own stories.

Loves shoes and to put on mommy's jewelry (mommy doesn't love that).

She is more cooperative with getting her hair done--I just have to tell her that if she lets me do her hair she will look pretty.

Loves to be told she's pretty.

FINALLY starting to sleep better. Not every night, but most nights she will make it to 5:30 or 6:00 and sometimes goes back down until 7 or so. HUGE progress for her.

Loves her Blankie, must have it for night/nap time. Giggles when I put the blankets on her for sleep. So adorable.

She has personality coming out her ears!!!! Makes a scowl, surprised and happy face, in that order.

I hate that she is growing up so fast---except the sleeping part--dude, sleep like a teenager (with an 8pm curfew of course)

Says, "sorry" for everything--even if she falls on her own or hits her head--she will look at what she hit her head on and say sorry to it.

Closer to Death than we Knew

I haven't posted in forever, but had to record this for posterity.

Cameron came home from school bawling. When I asked him what was wrong he said that Spencer told him he got to eat lunch at Grammy's. I gave Spencer the stink-eye (he's not supposed to mention the "fun" things we do---just the trips to Wal-Mart etc.)I told him I was sorry, but he has to be at school all day, so he misses fun, and not so fun things.

He cried, "but I hardly get to be with Grammy on Tuesdays and she's old enough that she could die any day now!"

Poor little thing (Grammy I mean). Who knew that 50-something was so close to the grave.

The First of Many.....I'm Sure

Chad competed in the Provo Triathlon the first weekend in June and is officially addicted. He trained since January for the Olympic length (1 mile swim, 26 mile bike ride, 6.2 mile run). But because of the high water level etc. they cancelled the Olympic length, so he did the Sprint length instead (800 meter swim, 13 mile bike, 3.1 mile run). Chad was REALLY bummed, but I was thrilled to not have to entertain 3 kids for 4 hours.

Waiting for everything to start.
It was a BEAUTIFUL morning!!
Chad coming out of the water---58 degrees that day----chilly.
Transition from swim to bike.

Approaching the finish line.

So proud of Daddy. The weather was beautiful, and we had the biggest cheering section. And I even got to hang out with my friend Keveny---Her daughter is a triathlon MADWOMAN (going for elite status). Chad was thrilled with his 1hour 27 minute time--He said anything less that 1hr 45min would be awesome.

We headed straight from the race to the Art City Days Parade--and it was perfect timing.

Lovin' the candy and the music. I was so proud of my 3 kiddies, they were absolutely perfect all day long. It was especially amazing for Kater-bug, since I had to wake her up at 6am. Luckily she took a monster 4 hour nap that afternoon....All in all a wonderful day!!
