All about the Baby!--3 Months

Our little love is almost 3 1/2 months old and we are really getting into the groove of things. About the day she turned 3 months old she stopped waking at night for her binky. So she is now in bed around 8:00 and wakes to be fed anytime between 4:30 and 6:00. I put her in the swing and she will sleep until 8 or 8:30---which is unheard of for a Kami baby. I am thrilled at how well she is doing at night. She has turned into the 30 minute nap queen. Most days she takes four 30 minute naps. It usually works that if we have plans or somewhere we need to be she will sleep for 2 hours. Murphy's Law starts young.
She loves to suck on her fingers/fists. Between the drooling and spitting up we go through 7-8 spit cloths and 3-4 outfits a day. LAUNDRY!! Mommy should change her outfit a time or two, but I choose to smell like spit-up.
Abby is starting to move herself around--She will be completely off her blanket and turned around if left alone for a few minutes. She was completely upside down in her crib this morning.

Smiling at her Daddy

Because we are mean parents and take pleasure in making our kids cry--Chad likes to Moo like a cow, which will make Abby's lower lip curl down and she starts crying. Then he barks like a dog and she smiles. HILARIOUS. I wasn't able to time the picture with her lip fully extended--but you get the idea.

Look at that face

Drunk on Mommy's milk. Like the boy pj's? Wal-Mart was out of the pink ones.

Absolutely IN LOVE with this little girl.

There's Aways Time for Fighting!

I can't believe June is almost over---we have stayed so busy. Lots of playing with friends, hanging out with cousins, T-ball games, basketball camp, and going fun places. We have made chore charts that the boys are doing well on. They are reading, practicing writing and spending lots of time googling science questions (Cameron's favorite thing lately). With lots of our day gone, I am amazed at how much fighting/teasing/crying the boys have been able to squeeze in. Aren't they just efficient little men.

We went to Utah Lake yesterday. Shell was taking pictures of a wedding so Kristi sacrificed her Saturday by leaving her family at home to help with Shell's kids on the boat (it was tough, but we sisters pitch in to help whenever we can...hehe). Caleb fell asleep right as we were finishing the day. He was such a little trooper--happiest on his Daddy's lap driving the boat.

Greg just bought kiddie skis for Cameron to learn. He is so confident and comfortable in the water I bet he'll be up sometime this year.

Greg had to bribe Cole to get her in the tube--whatever works.

The double tube is SO stinking fun!! Chad caught us in mid air.

Nicole is still really nervous on the boat. She holds onto this bar the entire time.

Cam and Kris got a great ride too.

Can you tell Spencer didn't like the cold water.

Spence thought he was pretty cool in the helicopter at the Discovery Gateway.

Mom kept Abby so Kris, Shell, and I were able to take the rest of the kids to the Discovery Gateway. The kids seem to be the perfect age for it and they weren't wanting to leave.

Toy Story 3 with Grandpa and Grandma--great show by the way.

Fishing at Hobble Creek Reservoir. Great FHE---although Cam was confused that we weren't having a lesson. Chad explained that sometimes it's ok to just do fun things for FHE. The boys did really well the first time, but we went a week later and most of the water was gone. They don't like the "patience" part of fishing.

Curses to whoever handed out these horns at the Art City Days parade. They will be "magically" disappearing soon.

My 3 kiddos at the Art City Days Children's parade. Yes it was the second week in June and they were in long sleeves and jackets for all of the Art City Days events. I guess I shouldn't feel so bad we haven't made it to 7 peaks yet.

Our favorite of the parade was the girl who had a chicken in a red flyer wagon--so funny. Should have taken a picture.
Cam felt so grown-up to walk with the Basketball camp boys for the parade.

Spencer made it about a block before he got too tired and had to turn around---wuss.

Memorial Day

On Memorial Day we had both fams over for a BBQ. The kiddos had fun on the trampoline, bouncer, and zip-line. The food was great and Abby was good (that's about all that matters to me).

Abby with Grandpa

We HAD to put Caleb in the harness. He just laid there---we couldn't tell if he was liking the zip line or not
We were surprised that Nicole did the zipline. She was brave, but wasn't exactly diggin' it
We must throw a great party--Grandpa and Grampy took naps

Scott's always so good with the kids. Kristi was just telling us the other day she asked Alex who he loved and he said, "Grampy, Grammy, Scotty."
So cute in their soccer kits Gerd sent from Germany

Mantha and Alex in time out. A party just isn't a party without at least a 5 minute time out

May/June Update

School is out! Summer is here. We are adjusting to the new norm of our summer schedule, or lack thereof. Actually the boys are doing well with chores and "homework". Super Mario Galaxy 2 is great incentive. Here are some pictures for the last while.
We take the headbands off for naps now.

I love boys!! Spence and his best little buddy.

Little Super Heroes

A rare sight---Abby burping without spit-up all over

Helping Daddy back out the truck

Visiting Grandma and Grandpa James' graves

The boys had a campout with Daddy in the backyard. It wouldn't be complete without Smores.

Silly Mommy

It may be a campout, but Daddy still has to read the bedtime book

Helping move the dirt for Mommy's garden

Playing in the dirt is better than moving the dirt

Abby chillin' and sucking her fist (her favorite thing in the world)

Trip to the zoo with Kristi and the kiddos sans Abby--thanks Grammy

Choo-choo!!

Whatever works

Getting ready for 9 am (and I mean 9 am--I hate being late) church can be a little crazy sometimes. Chad has meetings, so I am trying to get the 4 of us ready by myself. I have learned that if I just get as much done on Saturday night as possible it's not so bad.
This particular Sunday we were really on-the-ball and the boys were wanting to head out at 8:30. I still had to get the baby bathed and dressed and the fighting had begun so I told them to go play basketball--but not to get dirty or mess up their hair or outfits. They looked at me like I was crazy, but they ran out fast before I changed my mind.

Like I said---whatever works!!!

Kindergarten Graduation

Oh, he's growing up. Cameron feels like such a big boy. I will be sad to have my big helper gone all day next school year, but he's ready for it. When I asked what he was looking forward to for next year he said, "two recesses!"

Cam loved his teacher!! She was great for him. I was able to be a Mothers Helper for an hour on Wednesdays. I really enjoyed getting to know the kids and loved knowing exactly what was going on in class.

Cam and his 2 best buddies. They are smart little farts too!!! It was surprising that the "smartest" and best behaved kids in class were boys.

Grammy had Spencer point at Cameron, "you're the man!" I have a picture somewhere of Grampy that looks JUST like Cameron here.

Girls' Night

My seesters and our "Bernell" cousins

We have such a great time together. As we get older we only seem to see family once or twice a year, but we have really made an effort to get together for dinner and talking with these wonderful women. This time Andy was kind enough to make a MARVELOUS dinner for us. It seriously was delicious--that dude has cooking skilz. Abby was the perfect little baby that night---she's on her way to being the daughter I dreamed of---A Girls' Night lover. All we need is her to love a day of shopping and lunch and I've got it made.

Dinner and talking was great ladies,,,but next time we are throwing a craft in there too!!!!

Mantha-moo and Alex enjoyed giving Abby loves before they were scooted off to bed.
